Get a 115 black spray tip. You will be able to hand spray anything
Wow!  I never thought about a black 1" fan tip.  I thought I was being tricky using a 217.  The 15 thousand orifice would make things easier it doesn't clog..., but even a 117 or 19 sounds good.  I didn't know they even made them?

Chris,
The second gun is very easy to clean as there on a 7' hose. In fact it makes it easier as you can just use the short hose if you know you will be color changing and then you don't have to clean that long anaconda. If you are doing a change by just purging the color to another color it really saves time and paint. Yes you can move the gun from one mount to the other and we do that some if we don't want to get paint in the long hose.

Thanks Jim, that 115 black spray tip seems kind of small.

Milt, I did not think about the base shoe molding, that is a good idea.

I have the second gun attachment, just have not put it to use. If I wanted to, I guess I could rig the second gun bracket on the other side of the machine and then just move the gun over to that side when needed? I believe the cable will attach to the same handle as the regular gun control cable.

I am thinking that this might be the best idea so I don't have to run another hose and have to clean out that hose also when switching colors, I only have 2 machines right now and have to change colors often.

The best method we found is a mobilization charge for second trips. That usually gets the cars moved. We sometimes use rolls of base shoe molding rolled out on line edges and hand spray. If there is a vehicle parked on top of a line just nothing much you can do. All our machines are equipped with two guns so we can paint from either side by just changing the trigger lock. It is a big time saver.

Hello guys, just wondering what some of you do when doing hotels or apartment complexes where there are cars always in the way and you are just trying to get the job done.

It seems like most of us have the spray gun on the right side of the machine so spraying stripes on the left side of the car is ok but when you have to spray the stripe on the right side of the car and your gun is on the right side of the striper what do most of you do?

1. Use stencils and paint the line by hand?
2. Spray some of the line by hand and put the striper close to the car and stripe out of the space?
3. Move the gun/holder over to the left side of the striper, adjust and spray those stripes?
4. Other ideas?

I just finished a good size job where I had cars that did not move over a couple days and wanted to get to the next project and the managers could not get the cars moved as the people were out of town. I ended up using sheets of plastic and spraying them by hand and where possible, part by hand and the rest by striper by striping out of the stall.

Just looking for some good tips on these pain jobs and what most of you do to get the job done.

Thanks.
