Ken,  although I only know you from this Forum I know we share like political views and I am glad to hear you are doing better. Well folks...It has been a long row.  I got down to 168 and have been having the dikens of a time gaining any weight back.  The chemo really has taken its toll.  Good news is every day is a little better.  I am choking significantly less while eating.  Hence the recent weight gain of about 12 pounds.  If I could get all the deadbeats to pay me now, life would be a lot easier.  I hope they come up with honoring their debts without embarrassment.  You can really tell who your friends are (or not) after getting cancer.  Business is good other than slow pay customers and "friends" you trust to pay for equipment.  Three of which live here.

Thanks to all my friends who have kept in contact and all the prayers.  I just got the pet scan evaluation from the oncologist.  "..we can find no evidence of any remaining carcinoma..."  Yippeee!  Thanks everybody!  Now all I have to do is learn how to eat normally.  They say it will be a couple of months before I can retrain throat muscles to function properly without choking.  But, we kicked cancer's (expletive)!

Thanks to everybody for the prayers and wishes.  I haven't been too objective until today.  I feel almost human.  What they don't tell you is the recovery is twice as bad as the treatment.  Dirty trick.


FYI-  Johnny Jennings drove 1200 miles and came over just as I was starting treatment.  He helped me get things in order.  I will always be indebted.  What a friend!

Stripes, My wife had part of a lung removed with cancer and then they found a brain tumor. The removed it six months later.  I have bladder cancer and have been taking chem (TB Germ) for several years. My wife is doing great and I feel good. Please just keep a good positive attitude and lots of people will pray for you. That pulled us through. Prayer can work wonders. God Bless
