No one is fishing Markings 1. I simply gave some insight as to the pricing structure.  No one in sales at Graco talks list price because it is irrelevant, meaning it has nothing to do with what the marketplace pays. The discount structure when sold through 3 parties (manufacturer, distributor, and end user) is different than you quoting stall prices to a second party. Whether I like it or not, it is the discount structure I have to deal with, therefore, most Graco people and Graco's distribution, do not waste time discussing list pricing.  I suspect someone came up with a P/N on the 250, called Graco customer service, and was given list price.  If someone called a Graco distributor and asked how much a 250 would cost them, I am sure the $ would be more as I suggested.

Markings, what clever "point" are you trying to make.  Straightline gets it, you apparently do not.  No big deal.
I'll bite... what do I not get (in straight talk)?

I detest fantasy pricing that confuses the consumer.

MSRP has nothing to do with actual retail price. Price to dealer will determine the bottom line price.

Asphaltman, $21,000 is the list.  Graco list is somewhat irrelevent when compared to what products actually sell for.  For example, the list price on a 3900 2 gun is $9120.  I am guessing the market price of a 250 will sell in the $15,000 range. The 250, in my mind, is more at home when used for roadwork than parking lots.

Nothing personal Cormac,

But, if I went around stating my price to re-stripe a stall line was $9.00.... No wait that's irrelevant! ...make that $4.00 a line, then people might wonder where my buisness priorities lay?

Cormac, I will say its a helluva machine, and Iwould love to own one.  Hopfully we will see the electronic gun on future 3900 models.  I just love how Graco innovates!
You guys had a sweet booth!

The whole show floor was really nice, I havent seen that many vendors in years.  We made lots of good contacts.

Thanks for the shout out RandyV. DTC does manufacture the 1:1 MMA KoldSpry Walk Behind unit. I actually had a lot of guys from NJ, Michigan and Wisconsin asking if it would spray epoxy as well.

I believe there are a few other units out there but I'm not sure if they are 1:1 or 98:2.

Milt, The new Graco LL IV 250 SPS is not a 2 pump machine and in it's current configuration does not lend its self to plural components. There was a machine with DTC (Dispensing Technology Corp) stickers on it in Centerline Highway Supplys booth. I am not positive DTC manufactures it but it looked like a promising walk behind for 1:1 plural components & possibly 1:1 ratio epoxy. John from Centerline was quite knowledgeable and had some good things to say about it.

From what I understand there is another plural component walk behind made by EPIC? It was not at the show and I can't seem to find it on line so until it is advertised, I'll keep looking

I sure do wish Graco would develope something in the plural component walk behind market - now that would be something to check out!!

Greatest NPE I've ever been to. Great seminars, so far great round tables, great show floor, great food. If your not here get here. Johnnymac18 tell your parents thanks Rendezvous was awesome

I will definitely let them know. Unfortunately, I was staying in East Memphis and tried to go to Rendezvous for lunch. It might have been good to check their business hours since they weren't open until 4:30 on weekdays.

It was great to meet some of you at the show. This was the best show I have ever done personally. I learned a lot and hoefully the new striping companies I met learned a lot from me too. The 2 part MMA walk behind striper was a big hit for those guys up in the Northeast. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booths - Road Kare and Centerline.

Did I read that it has double pumps? If so that would be like two machines and a line driver. Wouldn't be a bad price for all that considering lots less room it would take up in the trailer and ability to handle plural componits.

SP, to put things into perspective, it is not a 3900.  It has twice the output. When your business has the work that requires greater GPM like that delivered by a 200HS, the 250 makes sense. For roughly $1000 more than a HD Driver and a 200HS you get .25 greater flow, Auto Layout, a Skip Line controller (with greater accuracy that trucks), a longer fixed wheelbase, and on and on.

Graco just needs the steering and especially the push button gun on the 3900 and we will change out are entire fleet. When I can get a 3900 and LD for $12000 15 and 16 is still not worth it. $21000, I'd rather just spend it on the truck mount. Graco almost had it

The show was the biggest I've seen is many years.  Was nice to see a full show.  Many seminars sold out.  We went to Rendezvous too and it was amazing. We saw Gracos new machine and I like it, but I'm guessing the price point MSRP of 21k will put it out of reach to most parking lot guys.

Was great to hang out with the Asphalt Mafia-Myself Nick,  Mick and Emily, Don Rooney, Robert, Dennis and Gail, Dustyn, Tim, Vinny, Allan , Kim , James. Heck the whole crew.

Can't wait for Pavement live this coming fall.
